Superleague RulesCHESHIRE DARTS ORGANISATION. SUPER LEAGUE RULES.
1. League H.Q will be Rudheath Social Club, Middlewich Road, Rudheath, Northwich. 2. Elective positions to be held for the following terms: Secretary 3 Years, Chairperson & Treasurer 2 years 3. ( To alternate annually ) . All other non-executive positions held for 1 year. 3. Honorariums to be paid in arrears at the following rates per season . In addition to expenses of an accountable nature. Secretary 200.00 pounds, Chairperson 150.00 pounds, Treasurer 150.00 pounds , Super League Secretary 75.00 pounds and Transport Secretary 50.00 pounds . 4. Each team to be allowed one vote only, at the A.G.M.
5. Super League Fees. Men 120 pounds per season, plus additional 50 pounds bond , for new teams. Ladies 110 pounds per season, plus additional 50 pounds bond, for new teams. 6. BOND: The 50.00 pounds bond is forfeitable by all teams as follows:- 25.00 pounds for non-fulfillment of a fixture and 5.00 pounds for each of the following offences: Late sheet, non-registered player or non-attendance of a County meeting ( Should this be required by Executive.) If any teams bond expires before the end of the season then that team shall be deemed to be expelled from the league. All bonds must be in place at the start of each season. 7. PAYMENT TIMES: All bonds plus a minimum of 60.00 pounds of the Super League fees must be in place by the registration date, which will be notified to all Secretaries a.s.a.p. All remaining fees must be paid IN FULL before the end of December. 8. Any team that defaults after the December date will forfeit all monies paid. 9. PLAYER REGISTRATIONS:- All players must be registered. Each players form has to be with the super leagues secretary either before or with the first result sheet on which they appear. Failure to comply with this will result in a 5.00 pound fine as an unregistered player. 10. An unregistered players game, should they win, shall be awarded to the opposing team, with the match result altered accordingly. 11. All result sheets must be in the hands of the Super league Secretary by 6pm on the Saturday after the match has been played. Failure to do so will result in 5.00 pounds penalty and deducted from the bond. 12. Playing night shall be Sunday, for both Men and Ladies. 13. Fixtures can be re-arranged, and there will be dates set aside for these games, should teams fail to come to an agreement. The Super League Secretary must be informed of any alterations to the original fixture list. If a game is claimed At any time, then the claiming team must fill in a result sheet and forward it to the Super league Secretary either before or with their next result sheet. Players signatures entered on this sheet will be awarded two points for the win. Rule No 13 - An explanation of Super League Rule No 13 I will be upholding this coming season. If a team wish to re-arrange a fixture in less than 24hrs then it must be for an exceptional circumstances and not having 9 players available is not acceptable. A match can be called and played with 5 players and it is expected that all teams can meet this demand minimum and fixtures set should be played on that given date. An exceptional circumstance would be – The majority of the team i.e coach/transport has been severely impeded i.e collision, a venue has unexpected loss/destruction or extreme weather conditions and the likes. In these circumstances the Capt of the team requesting the fixture to be re-arranged must inform the team Capt of the opposing team immediately and both team Capts inform the Super League Secretary within 24hrs (Email/phone/text) The Capt of the team that can fulfil the fixture shall give ANY 2 alternative dates convenient to their own team and not exclusively a Sunday. If the Capt of the team whom requested the re-arrangement is unable to meet either of these dates given then the game shall be claimed by the Capt of team who were available for the fixture date stated.
If you are cancelling a fixture for anything other than an exceptional circumstance you must give 48hrs notice to the opposing Team (Capt) Failing to give 48hrs notice in these circumstances will be actioned with a game forfeit and deemed as non-fulfilment of fixture fine indicated in SL/Rule No6. . In these circumstances the Capt of the team requesting the fixture to be re-arranged must inform the team Capt of the opposing team immediately and both team Capts inform the Super League Secretary within 24hrs of the fixture (Email/phone/text) The Capt of the team that can fulfil the fixture shall give ANY 2 alternative dates convenient to their own team and not exclusively a Sunday. If the Capt of the team whom requested the re-arrangement is unable to meet either of these dates given then the game shall be claimed by the Capt of team who were available for the fixture date stated. Games not played before the cut-off date will be awarded to the team that could make the original fixture. The super league secretary must be notified of any re-arrangements and any games claimed must be actioned as Rule 13. Any games outstanding must be played and result given to the Super league Secretary before the 16th June 2013.
14. Ladies team to consist of 7 players, 4 players constitutes a team. Mens team to consist of 9 players, 5 players constitutes a team. All matches are best of five legs, 501, straight start and finish on a double. 15. Each team should consist of no more than two outside County players. IE. No more than two players who have registered as being able for another County can play in a Super League match. This rule to be on a match-by-match basis and not season to season. Rule No 15 - An explanation of Super League Rule No 15 I will be upholding this coming season. In the interests of good competition and to benefit all a team is allowed no more than 2 outside County Players and 1 PDC (21 & over and full association to PDC) competitor per match per team. The order of play shall be determined by being drawn out. Each team captain shall enter onto their own result sheet the players in order in which they shall play. Both Ladies and Mens teams shall conduct the draw at 6.30pm with play to commence at the default time of 7.00pm. Games may be played earlier in the day with the agreement of both sides. 17. No substitutes will be allowed once the sheet has been filled in. 18. Every players single dart average should be calculated and entered onto the sheet. Both team Captains to ensure sheets are checked and accurate at the end of the game.. 19. Each team shall receive two points for an overall win. In the event of a tie at the end of the season, then games won and then legs will come into consideration. If still tied then the results of the teams involved will be considered, if still tied then a play off will be arranged by the Super League Secretary. 20. If a team is expelled or resigns from the league in the first half of the season, then all points gained will be deducted. If a teams demise is during the second half of the season, then only those results to be deducted. Individual averages to stand throughout the season. 21. All clubs shall provide boards in a good condition and suitable venue. The board shall be a standard 1 20 clock pattern. Height 5ft 8 from the floor to the center bull and 79 ¼ from the face of the board to a point vertically above the back of a raised 2 oche. The diagonal length from the bull to the back of the oche is 97 ½ or 115.5cm . 22. Teams MUST also provide a practice board to be available throughout the duration of the match. 23. A raised oche MUST be provided and be at least 2 high and 2ft long. 24. Burst rule to apply. 25. All result sheets to be filled in by a scorer form both teams as the match progresses. Each team to be responsible for ensuring it reaches the Super League Secretary on time. 26. No dart to be retrieved from the board until the scorer has recorded the score. Protest after retrieval will not be accepted. 27. Any protest on any matter must firstly be made by telephone to an executive member within 24hrs of the offence taking place, to be followed In writing within seven days of the match. 28. Any rule not covered by these rules will be governed by the existing B.D.O rules
BRITISH DARTS ORGANISATION BDO CODE OF PRACTICE No 3 – DISCIPLINARY PROCEEDINGS 1. Introduction 1.1 This Disciplinary Code forms part of the terms and conditions of membership of the British Darts Organisation (the “BDO”). It also forms part of the terms and conditions of participation in tournaments, competitions and other events organised and/or sanctioned by the BDO (“BDO Events”). Anyone who applies for membership of the BDO, and/or who participates in a BDO Event, whether as a darts player or as an official, shall be deemed to have accepted this Code and agreed to be bound and to abide by its provisions and all decisions made hereunder. 1.2 The BDO may from time to time supplement, amend or vary this Code. Such changes shall be deemed to be effective and binding on each member, player and official on the date of publication of the changes by the BDO. 1.3 Although both genders participate in the sport of darts, for ease of reference only “he” and “his” shall be used in this Code, but such references shall be deemed to refer to “she” and “her” as appropriate. 1.4 BDO Member Darts Bodies wishing to take their own disciplinary action against their own members shall use this Code as a guide in the exercise of their disciplinary powers, provided that where proceedings are to be taken under this Code with respect to a particular incident, then any BDO Member Darts body with concurrent jurisdiction over the incident shall defer to such proceedings. 1.5 BDO Member Darts Bodies shall recognise, and take all steps necessary to give effect to, (a) disciplinary decisions made by a Disciplinary Committee or Appeal Committee under this Code; and (b) disciplinary decisions made by a BDO Member Darts B 2. Disciplinary Offences and Disciplinary Complaints 2.1 Each member, player and official is responsible and accountable for his own conduct in connection with the sport of darts. He must conduct himself at all times in accordance with the highest standards of disciplined and sporting behaviour. Any conduct that falls below these standards and that harms or undermines the sport of darts in any way shall constitute a Disciplinary Offence under this Code. 2.2 It is not possible to draw up a definitive and exhaustive list of types of conduct, behaviour, statements or practices that may amount to a Disciplinary Offence under this Code. For purposes of illustration only, and not by way of limitation, each of the following types of behaviour may constitute a Disciplinary Offence under this Code: 2.2.1 acts/omissions that breach the BDO Playing Rules, the Eligibility Rule, the Policy on Drugs or any other BDO rule, including the rules specific to any particular BDO Event; 2.2.2 acts or statements that are, or conduct that is, discriminatory by reason of gender, sexual orientation, race, nationality, ethnic origin, colour, religion or disability; 2.2.3 any conduct, behaviour, statements or practices, whether inside or outside the match play area, during a BDO Event or otherwise, that is unsporting, offensive, indecent, violent and/or insulting and/or that brings or may bring into disrepute the sport of darts, a BDO Event or the BDO and/or any sponsor or commercial partner of the BDO or a BDO Event; and/or 2.2.4 reneging on any commitment made to participate in particular BDO Event(s), such as the commitment made by each participant in the BDO World Professional Darts Championship (the “Championship”) to participate, if certain conditions are met, in future Championships. Cheshire Super League Darts 2012-13. Teams competing in this league are governed by the rulings and COC above and recorded within the BDO rules. This document should be displayed within your venue where SL Darts 12-13 will take place.
